Please read these terms carefully before using our services. By engaging SecureMyWordPress you agree to these terms.
1. About Us
SecureMyWordPress provides WordPress security, malware removal and ongoing maintenance services to clients worldwide. References to “we”, “us” and “our” refer to SecureMyWordPress.
2. Our Services
We offer the following services:
- Emergency Recovery (£495) — Malware removal, backdoor closure and basic hardening for hacked WordPress sites
- Full Recovery + Hardening (£795) — Complete malware removal, full security hardening and extended monitoring
- Security Care Plan (£149/month) — Ongoing monitoring, updates, malware scans and free cleanup if hacked
3. No-Fix, No-Fee Guarantee
We operate a strict no-fix, no-fee policy:
- If we are unable to fully remove the malware from your WordPress site, you will not be charged
- This guarantee applies to the initial agreed scope of work
- It does not apply where access is revoked during the cleanup, where the site is re-infected due to a new attack after our work is complete, or where the client has not followed our post-cleanup security recommendations
4. Payment Terms
- Emergency Recovery and Full Recovery: 50% payment required upfront before work begins; remaining 50% due on completion
- Security Care Plan: Monthly subscription billed in advance via Stripe. Cancel anytime with no penalty
- All payments are processed securely via Stripe. We do not store card details
- Prices are quoted in GBP. Clients outside the UK pay in GBP at the prevailing exchange rate
5. What We Need From You
To deliver our services, you must provide:
- Temporary SFTP or cPanel access to your hosting account
- WordPress administrator login credentials
- Database access (phpMyAdmin or similar) where required
- Any relevant hosting or domain account details we request
All access credentials are treated with strict confidentiality, used only for the agreed work, and will not be retained after project completion. We are happy to sign an NDA on request.
6. Timescales
- Emergency Recovery: Work begins within 2 hours of payment; typically completed within 4–12 hours
- Full Recovery + Hardening: Begins same day; typically completed within 24 hours
- Timescales may vary for severely compromised sites or where access issues arise
7. Re-infection Policy
- Emergency Recovery: 30-day monitoring included. If the same hack returns within 30 days due to our work being incomplete, we will re-clean at no charge
- Full Recovery + Hardening: 90-day re-infection guarantee on the same hack type
- Re-infection from a new or different attack vector is not covered under this guarantee
- Security Care Plan members: Unlimited free cleanups during the active subscription
8. Client Responsibilities
After we complete our work, you are responsible for:
- Keeping WordPress, all plugins and themes updated promptly
- Maintaining strong, unique passwords on all accounts
- Following our post-cleanup security recommendations
- Regularly backing up your site
Failure to follow these recommendations may void the re-infection guarantee.
9. Limitation of Liability
- We will take all reasonable care when working on your site. However, we recommend you take a full backup before we begin (we will also take a backup as part of our process)
- Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific service. We are not liable for any loss of revenue, data, business or reputation arising from the original hack or from any unforeseen issue during our work
- We are not responsible for hacks that occur after our work is completed due to factors outside our control
10. Confidentiality
We treat all client information with strict confidentiality. We will not disclose your business details, website vulnerabilities, or technical findings to any third party without your permission. Case studies published on our website use anonymised details unless explicit permission is given.
11. Cancellation
- Security Care Plan: Cancel anytime via email. Your plan continues until the end of the current billing period. No refund for the current period
- One-time services: If you cancel after work has begun, you will be charged for work completed at our standard hourly rate of £95/hour
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
